Cech reminds me of TOAD FROM MARIOKART with that contraption on his swede, no thanks

Why, on the off chance we got Cech, would he remotely be short term!?

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
unbelievable that he would get stick for yesterday. Had two world class saves in the first half and saved a pen. The first goal was a mis-hit that went in, and I don't fault Adrian for punching. There's simply no reason for the defence to leave a man unmarked on top of the box especially from a set piece. It was Downing's man.

He's easily one of the top five or six keepers in the league.

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
100% Adrian is a decent keeper who is improving. He is very suspect when it comes to crosses and him coming and punching or catching but he has improved that from last season.

Fifth Column 12:43 Mon Feb 23
Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
He is not the main area we need to improve. However, to be a top 6 team I think we need someone better than him. I agree Begovic or even Cech those Cech would be short term.

But then are we really going to be top 5/6?

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
Polite,

Was very pro Green and agree with you on his all round abilities but we didn't really let him go, it was more the case that he wanted a pay out, QPR had more money than sense and it meant little upheaval for him so he went.

minor point but a valid one.

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
Begovic is a better keeper but I think Adrian deserves our support, he has clearly improved and if he continues to do so will become a top notch keeper. He doesn't deserve to lose his place.

Ron,

I think he Cech is over rated. Decent no doubt, but would rather have a good lad who will improve rather than one whose best days are behind him.

We gor rid of Green far too early as he is still an excellent keeper.

I'd be sticking with Adrian for the time being - i'm still in two minds about him, but I don't think being in two minds is reason to get rid just yet.

I find it weird that Adrian gets so much focus. He is the least of our worries

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
Polite, I'd have Cech, but his wages will be through the roof. I don't know many keepers outside of England, but I reckon there's plenty in the world who are better than Adrian. Good passion, but a little suspect at times.

I like Adrian, he'll do for me. Bloke has charachter and he is full-on West Ham.

Rather have him than that sulky bloke Green.

I would say thats about right. That fucking daft punch yesterday cost us dear.

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
I wouldn't have said any of his saves were "great". You'd have been very disappointed if any of those had gone in. Also the one that ballooned up in the air that Kane put in but was offside he should have been out catching that

A good assessment

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
Sorry, but you're completely wrong here, peroni son...

Adrian is adequate... A decent shot-stopper with good reflexes but he's poor with crosses and he makes quite a number of errors...

Begovic is far more consistent, is much better at crosses and hardly EVER makes errors...

The best 'keepers are those that make the fewest errors... Adrian makes too many of them... Whether that's being beaten at his near-post or trying to be clever by beating a player and losing the ball and getting himself sent-off or fucking-up a cross...

He's just adequate... Begovic is superb... Much more reliable and consistent...

Guzan. Zeleniko. Bentley. Are all worthy of being part of our squad.

Adrianne was excellent today

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
His season summed up in a game in my opinion

Made some great saves and a couple of costly mistakes.

I'd like to see us stick with for now, I certainly wouldn't change him for an over rated Cech

theaxeman 8:25 Sun Feb 22
Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
Id go for cech personally he's 32 and plenty left in the tank

terry-h 8:13 Sun Feb 22
Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
Begovic has only one year left on his contract from this summer. 5 million? for a goalkeeper at his peak!

peroni 8:11 Sun Feb 22
Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
Nah, I'm not having it.

Me, Vincent de Bosque, and Carling Opta carry more weight than you on this subject Dicksie.

One of the top 5 keepers in Europe
